Unlocking potential in a character-filled country home
This Bundanoon home had all the right bones — a great footprint and loads of potential — but it was dark, dated, and disconnected. The new owner engaged us to design and construct a full renovation that would bring the home to life and maximise its layout, all within a tight timeframe. With a clear goal to begin construction immediately after settlement, we finalised the designs, documentation, and approvals during the settlement period. Construction began the very next day.
We created a generous new master wing with ample wardrobe space and a modern ensuite, reconfigured two guest bedrooms, and added a dedicated office.
A structural opening in a heavy brick wall transformed the once-cramped living room into a bright, open space with a new breakout sitting area on a split level.
We also relocated the fireplace, added a new laundry, upgraded all plumbing and electrical services, and replaced windows and doors throughout — giving the entire home a fresh, cohesive feel. With the client living onsite during the build, communication and careful site management were essential — and executed seamlessly.
